Abstract
The 20-item Just World Scale was administered to an Australian sample. Confirmatory factor analysis provided some evidence that the scale is multidimensional, but there was little consistency between the factor structure obtained in this study and those reported in previous resea rch. A reliability analysis of the derived subscales indicated poor in ternal consistency. There was evidence of gender differences between t wo of the empirically derived factors of the scale.
