Abstract
Chemical etching of high-energy ion tracks in polyimide is discussed. The characteristics of etching with various known etching reagents are compared. A new reagent, concentrated hydrogen peroxide, that ensures high selectivity and a sufficient rate of etching is proposed. This e tching reagent is readily available and environmentally safe. Polyimid e track membranes for ultra- and microfiltration are prepared.
