Abstract
We estimate the cross section for the production of a narrow isoscalar 0(-) pi NN resonance (d(1)) in the pionic double charge exchange (DCX ) on He-3 and He-4. The resonance parameters used are those obtained f rom a recent analysis of DCX data on light and medium-heavy nuclei. Th e calculations agree very favourably with presently available low-ener gy data for He-4.
