Abstract
In this letter we calculate the proper normalization for the B meson e ikonal valence wave function used in exclusive B decays. The normaliza tion appropriate for a hard scattering process renormalized at the sca le mu is determined by calculating the short distance contribution to the purely leptonic decay.
