Abstract
The radiocarbon dates of two wood particles collected from the funerar y boat of Pharaoh Khufu were measured with a Tandetron AMS (accelerato r mass spectrometer) at Nagoya University. 4592+/-91 yr.B.P. (2642+/-9 1 B.C.) is the most proper date among the results of measurement. This date agreed well with the estimated age of Khufu's reigning (ca. 4500 years ago), considering the possibilities of rotting or processing lo ss of wood materials. Further data accumulation and their comparisons will be required.
