SINDO1 calculations were performed to determine the structure and stab
ility of chlorosiloxanes of the groups SinOn-1Cl2n+2,SinOnCl2n and Sin
On+mCl2n-2m. A comparison of isomers and sequences reveals the preferr
ed stabilization with increasing size. The most stable structures can
be characterized as chains and monocyclic and oligocyclic rings. Model
reactions were undertaken to understand the growth pattern of increas
ing oxygen and decreasing chlorine components.
