Abstract
The synthesis of 4-C-methyl-D-ribose, 4-C-methyl-D-ribose, D-ribose-4- d, and L-ribose derivatives as well as the title nucleoside by a chemo enzymatic strategy beginning from cyclopentadiene is described.
