We obtain analytic correlated wave functions in momentum space for the
first singly-excited S-states of two electron atomic systems as the F
ourier transform of correlated wave functions which provides not only
a good estimation for the energy but also a good description of the on
e-electron position density, rho(r). Then we study the atomic single-p
article momentum-density, gamma(p) and discuss the differences between
the singlet and triplet states. All the calculations can be analytica
lly performed provided the correlated wave function in position space
has been determined.
