A stochastic model for luminescence quenching in clusters of monodispe
rse micelles is developed and exactly solved for the case where both p
robes and quenchers can migrate between individual micelles that are i
n direct contact during the excitation lifetime. The model provides a
short-range approximation to the survival probability being accurate a
t short times and/or at sufficiently high quencher concentrations, whe
n the reactants make at most one step before reacting.
