The association between cutaneous and systemic leukocytoclastic vascul
itis and myeloproliferative and lymphoproliferative malignancies has b
een reported. We describe a patient who developed recurrent episodes o
f leukocytoclastic vasculitis 10 months before the diagnosis of acute
myelomonocytic leukemia. To our knowledge, this is the first documente
d case of leukocytoclastic vasculitis presenting as the initial manife
station of acute myelomonocytic leukemia, a subtype of acute myelogeno
us leukemia.
