H. Ruzickova, VEGETATION OF THE INUNDATION MEADOWS OF T HE LOWER COURSE OF THE RIVER MARCH SOUTHWARD FROM VYSOKA-PRI-MORAVE, EKOLOGIA-BRATISLAVA, 13, 1994, pp. 89-98
On the lower course of the river March are situated 1000 ha of inundat
ion meadows belonging to subcontinental plant association Cnidion dubi
i. From plant communities the ass. Caricipraecoci-Alopecuretum pratens
is, subass. typicum is the most general, the subass. Filipendula vulga
ris is less frequent. In more humid terrain depressions occurred the a
ss. Lathyrus paluster-Gratiola officinalis. On the driest terrain elev
ations appears ass. Serratulo-Festucetum commutatae in enclaves. They
are meadows grassed twice and never being grazed. Except production fu
nction they are of large importance for protection of genepool of plan
ts (24 rare and endangered species) and animals that have on these mea
dows permanent biotopes or food basis.
