Abstract
Commensurability between a static fluxon chain and a periodic lattice of inhomogeneities in a long Josephson junction has been studied exper imentally. Some of the equidistant peaks in the I(c) (H)-curve are sup pressed as predicted by the theory of Fehrenbacher et al. But, unexpec tedly, a suppression of subharmonic peaks is also observed.
