Abstract
This Letter presents an approximate solution to the problem of computi ng the bistatic scattering width (BSW) for nonlinear, isotropic, infin ite, circular cylinders illuminated by TM waves. An iterative solution is developed for weak nonlinearities of the Kerr type, within some ap proximations for the internal field. Some preliminary results are repo rted, which show the effects of some of the quantities involved in the nonlinear process. (C) 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
