Abstract
The electron-phonon scattering rate due to the deformation potential i s calculated in a semiconductor quantum well structure, in which the e lectron effective mass mismatch is taken into account. By comparison w ith the scattering rates calculated by the infinitely high model and t he finitely high square quantum well model without the electron effect ive mass mismatch, it is shown that the scattering rate decreases owin g to the effect of the electron effective mass mismatch.
