Abstract
The potential of zero charge and the inner layer capacity of the (0001 ) face of a cadmium single crystal were determined as a function of te mperature. The entropy of formation of the double layer was estimated. Based on these results, the hydrophilicity of Cd(0001), Ag(100) and A g(111) is compared.
