Abstract
The possibility of obtaining N,N'-dialkyl methylenebisnitramines from primary nitramines and formaldehyde in dilute H2SO4 (65-85%) has been shown. The reaction starting from two different nitramines results in a mixture of one asymmetrically and two symmetrically substituted prod ucts.
