The resonant frequencies of an eccentric annular microstrip antenna ar
e computed for different modes using the cavity model. The effect of t
he eccentricity on the resonant frequencies is investigated. The compu
ted resonant frequencies are verified experimentally. The measured res
onant frequencies are considered to be located at the minimum location
s of the return loss. The magnetic field distribution is also computed
