Abstract
A series of new N-3-(substituted) derivatives of CCNU was synthesized with the aim of producing more stable compounds with increased cytotox icity. The nitrosoureas produced in this study were much more stable i n aqueous medium than CCNU (15 to 100 times longer half-lives). The de composition of these nitrosoureas seems to be different in that they p roduce the original amine plus other decomposition products.
