Necessary conditions on a reasonable description of a physical object
are suggested. The globally regular solutions of Petrov type D of the
Einstein - Maxwell field equations and their generation solutions are
derived for a charged perfect fluid sphere. A globally regular model o
f a stationary electron is established in the framework of general rel
ativity. The quantitative relations between the inertial and the elect
romagnetic mass of an electron and between the electron mass and radiu
s are explained.
