Abstract
Femoral plating is an alternative to intramedullary nails in the blunt polytrauma patient. Immediate stability can be reliably achieved, mee ting trauma care goals of immediate patient mobilization. Orthopedic g oals of limb function have been reliably met as well. Implant failures have been easily reconstructed.
