A description is given of a method and the experimental results are re
ported of an investigation of the precision of control of the angular
distribution of radiation in a laser amplifier with phase conjugation
coupled to a master oscillator with an intracavity light-controlled sp
acetime modulator. It is shown that the precision of control in the di
rection of radiation is at least 0.3 of the diffraction divergence of
a beam and the response time of the modulator to a control signal is 5
00 mus. The results are given of a study of the precision of phase con
jugation of radiation by double reflection from stimulated Brillouin s
cattering mirrors, including results obtained under conditions simulat
ing self-interaction of radiation.
