Abstract
By means of an optical trapping technique we have been able to trap si ngle microdroplets in emulsions and to observe their Raman and/or fluo rescence spectra. In the fluorescence spectra we could observe additio nal morphology-dependent electromagnetic resonances, from which the ra dius of the sphere can be determined.
