A SINGLE-CHIP ANALOG VIDEO CODEC FOR CONSUMER VIDEOPHONE AND MULTIMEDIA APPLICATIONS

In this paper we present a single CMOS integrated circuit which provid es all the analog functions necessary for the acquisition and display of color video data in low-cost videophone and multimedia applications . The circuit contains an ADC for three channel video data acquisition , and three DACs for video data restitution. Programmable transconduct ance-C filters provide anti-aliasing on the acquisition side, and smoo thing on the restitution side. A PLL generates the system clocks from the camera HSYNC input All associated voltage and current references a re also included.
