BILATERAL COMPLETE CRYPTOPHTHALMOS - CASE -REPORT AND LITERATURE-REVIEW

One case of bilateral complete cryptophthalmos is reported by the auth ors. Cryptophthalmos refers to a group of uncommon congenital eyelid m alformation that can occur alone or in combination with multiple conge nital anomalies. The mode of inheritance in the complete cryptophthalm os is discussed. The surgical exploration was described and the genera l features of the cryptophthalmos syndrome and its variants were revie wed. The authors submitted a list of the congenital anomalies associat ed. The family examination and the lack of family history pleaded in f avour of a sporadic case.
