Abstract
More and more facility owners use coating inspectors to increase the q uality of coating work, which, in turn, reduces long-term maintenance costs. As with hiring a coating contractor or any other service, it is important to define the types and extent of services to be provided b y the coating inspection firm. This example of a statement of work for coating inspection services for ferrous-metal substrates can serve as a guide for specifiers and complement the specification requirements.
