Abstract
Soldering flux-induced pitting attack is becoming more frequent on the inside surfaces of copper tubes and fittings in both domestic plumbin g and sprinkler systems. It occurs preferentially in cold-water lines. The problem can be effectively mitigated by requiring plumbing techni cians to use industry-standard materials and workmanship.
