Abstract
The production costs of injection mouldings consists approximately 50% material costs. Reductions are possible when non-visible parts of the product are made of recyclates with mechanical good performance but d ue to optical faults (e.g. color variations). A new process to use the se materials for the moulding's core is the Mono-Sandwich-process. Thi s technique can cut down the production cost in many cases easily by a bout 25%.
