We report preliminary results of measurements of ultrasound velocity a
nd attenuation in polycrystalline samples of Bi2Sr2-xCa1+xCu2O8-delta
with x=0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00. We have found different dependenc
es of sound velocity on temperature in the samples investigated. The a
ttenuation exhibits a maximum near 230 K,
