Ht. Liou et al., THE ROTATIONALLY RESOLVED SPECTRA AND PRE-DISSOCIATION OF CS2 OF 210 NM BAND INITIATED FROM HIGHLY VIBRATIONALLY EXCITED-LEVELS, Chemical physics letters, 266(5-6), 1997, pp. 591-596
The jet-cooled rotationally resolved spectra of the pre-dissociation b
and Sigma(0)(g) of the B-1(2)((1) Sigma(u)(+)) state of CS2 at 210 nm,
which were initiated from highly vibrationally excited levels of the
ground electronic state X(1) Sigma(g)(+), were recorded using the tech
nique of stimulated emission pumping to prepare the initial levels, Th
e band origin and the rotational constants B, D are 47561.749(12) cm(-
1) and 0.09903(19), 1.4(4.4) x 10(-6) cm(-1), respectively. Additional
ly, state-prepared photo-dissociation was demonstrated by this techniq
ue. The pre-dissociation rate initiated from the level of (3 18 0) X(1
) Sigma(g)(+) is two times faster than that of (0 0 0).
