A. Saleh et al., DIAMOND-LIKE CARBON-FILMS INVESTIGATED WITH POSITRONS, Philosophical magazine. B. Physics of condensed matter. Structural, electronic, optical and magnetic properties, 70(4), 1994, pp. 951-961
Normal and silicated diamond-like carbon films on steel and silicon su
bstrates have been investigated with a slow positron beam. A diffusion
model, making allowance for different densities, was applied to Doppl
er-broadened spectra. Measurements reveal the nature of the films and
the importance of the substrate in the production processes.
