Abstract
In this paper a frequency domain analysis of buried dielectric cylindr ical targets is given. An integral equation, which is solved by Galerk in's method along with plane wave basis functions, is used to obtain t he scattered field. Numerical results in the frequency as well as the time domain - via FFT - for various underground bodies in various dept hs are given. The results show the applicability of the method in the target identification process.
