Abstract
Presentation of a temperature model for the cooling characteristics of steel in converters, secondary metallurgical plant and in the continu ous casting tundish with the aim of predetermining as closely as possi ble the converter tapping temperature. Factors influencing the cooling characteristics of steel in the ladle. Temperature gradient in the tu ndish. Setting the converter tapping temperature. Attainable accuracy in setting the tapping temperature of the converter and assessment of the developed computer model.
