A. Belendez et al., EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF SHEARING EFFECTS IN VOLUME HOLOGRAMS FORMED IN BLEACHED PHOTOGRAPHIC-EMULSIONS, Optics and Laser Technology, 26(5), 1994, pp. 341-349
Transmission holograms recorded in Agfa 8E75 HD photographic emulsion
and processed with an R-9 reversal bleach are experimentally analysed.
Several important aspects related to the influence of recording mater
ials and their processing on the design of holographic optical element
s have been considered. The cases of the two-plane wave and that of th
e spherical object wave are analysed in detail. Emphasis is on the est
imation of shear angles from their effects on hologram properties. The
influence of exposure, spatial frequency and slant angle on shear ang
les is briefly analysed and discussed.
