Abstract
We describe a 31-year-old man who suffered from loss of consciousness and cardiac arrest with ventricular fibrillation after a brisk head mo vement. Clinical investigation was inconclusive apart from the magneti c resonance imaging that showed the Arnold-Chiari malformation. It mus t be taken into account in the diagnosis, as a specific treatment is p ossible.
