Abstract
The title silanethione reacts with phosphorus ylides under conditions of kinetic control to give betaines containing a linear [GRAPHICS] fra gment. Under conditions of thermodynamic control, the derivatives of p hosphonium 1-silaacenaphthene-1-thiolate are formed.
