Ta. Mcallister et al., EFFECT OF SALINOMYCIN ON FERMENTATION AND NITROGEN-METABOLISM IN THE ARTIFICIAL RUMEN, Canadian journal of animal science, 74(3), 1994, pp. 575-578
Peptidase activities against Ala3, Ala4 and Phe3 were increased (P < 0
.05) by salinomycin, whereas activities against Ala5 and Phe4 were unc
hanged and that against Gly-Arg-MNA was decreased (P < 0.05). In the p
resence of salinomycin, the main products of peptide hydrolysis were s
ingle amino acids, whereas dipeptides were formed in samples from cont
rol vessels.
