Gm. Zhang et al., A NEW METHOD TO DETERMINE THE HEAT-TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF REFRIGERATED VEHICLES, International journal of refrigeration, 17(8), 1994, pp. 516-523
A new method is proposed for rapid determination of the overall heat t
ransfer coefficient K of refrigerated and insulated vehicles. By calcu
lating the temperature distribution in the insulation wall using the f
inite difference method, the following parameters were obtained: the h
eat inertness coefficient and the conversion ratio. A new formula for
calculating the K-value is based on these parameters. The principle an
d experiments are discussed and analysed in detail in this paper. The
results show that the time required by the new method is less than tha
t required by other rapid methods, while the precision is much higher.
Compared with the steady-state method, the error is within a limit of
5%. This new method is particularly suited to quality control testing
of vehicles in production runs.
