Abstract
It takes good detective work to troubleshoot any plating process. It t akes knowledge of the process, a methodical approach, and patience. In the case of troubleshooting functional chromium plating, what appears to be a simple process can become quite an adventure. This edited ver sion of a presentation from the Chromium Colloquium, held in January 1 994 at Orlando, FL, gives some guidelines for finding the answers to p lating problems.
