Electrochemical sensors sensitive to aniline were prepared by matrix p
olymerization and studied. Polyaniline electrodes under investigation
were synthesized by electrochemical polymerization of 0.1 M aniline in
1.0 M aqueous HCl and 1.0 M NaCl, as well as in 1.0 M NaClO4 in CH3CN
either in potentiostatic mode at 0.6, 0.9, and 1.2 V relative to Ag-A
gCl or by potential cycling between -0.2 and 0.8 V; -0.2 and 1.1 V rel
ative to Ag-AgCl. It was found that electropolymerization under condit
ions of maximal polymer film density results in a significant increase
in selectivity. The regularities in sensor functioning were studied u
nder various test conditions.
