Abstract
An advanced acoustic model of the respiratory system is proposed. It i s used to solve the problem of sound transmission across large ventila tion paths via the parenchyma to the chest wall. Statistical character istics of the field of oscillatory velocity on the chest wall have bee n studied using numerical methods.
