Abstract
Isobaric vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data at 40.0 and 101.3 kPa for binary mixtures 1-chlorobutane + 1-butanol, + 2-butanol, + 2-methyl-1 -propanol, and + 2-methyl-2-propanol are reported. Mixtures containing 2-methyl-1-propanol at 101.3 kPa, 2-butanol and 2-methyl-2-propanol a t 40.0 and 101.3 kPa show azeotropes. The VLE data are thermodynamical ly consistent and were correlated with Margules, Van Laar, Wilson, and NRTL equations.
