Resonant shallow donor magnetopolaron effect in a GaAs/AlGaAs quantum
dot in high magnetic fields is investigated by the variational treatme
nt. It is shown that both the cyclotron resonant frequency omegac+ du
e to the 1s-p+ hydrogenic transition and the cyclotron resonant freque
ncy omegac- due to the 1s-p- hydrogenic transition increase with the
decrease of the dot size. The cyclotron resonant frequency omegac+ is
always larger than the bulk LO-phonon frequency omega(LO), while the
cyclotron resonant frequency omegac- is lower than omega(LO) for larg
er quantum dots. The results also show that Coulomb interaction effect
on the resonant frequencies is significant.
