THE THEORETICAL CONSIDERATION OF PHYSICAL REGULARITIES OF ELECTROSTATIC DISPERSION OF LIQUIDS AS AEROSOLS

The present paper gives a theoretical analysis for the generation of l iquid-drop aerosols by the method of electrostatic dispersion of liqui ds. It is shown that both monodisperse and polydisperse aerosol condit ions may be realized depending on the potential difference applied and on the value of the hydrodynamic pressure under which the liquid is s upplied to the dispersing device. Calculations are made for the dimens ions and charges of the droplets originated under both of these condit ions.
