Four types of neurosecretory cells, designated as A, B, C and D were d
istinguished in the brain and their development was studied from 24 ho
urs (hatching) to adult stage. The changes during development and meta
morphosis were observed. It was noticed that the neurosecretory cells
are playing a key role during metamorphosis.
