Abstract
Third instar larvae and puparia of three common heleomyzid species - S uillia pallida (Fallen), Suillia univittata (Von Roser) and Heleomyza captiosa Gorodkov - are described and illustrated. Some remarks on the family characteristics of heleomyzid larvae and on the requirements f or usable larval descriptions are given. With 21 original figures.
