Abstract
A new method for the precipitation of protein and oligopeptides is des cribed. In this method, the selectivity of precipitation is a function of the percentage of alcohol. With an 80:20 (v/v) mixture of ethanol and water at room temperature, the selectivity of oligopeptide precipi tation was as good as that using phosphotungstic acid.
