The operation of fiber optic sensor with nonlinear FMCW signal and Fab
ry-Perot interferometer as an optical transducer is described. The sen
sor's output is defined by the spectral response of the interferometer
and does not depend on light intensity fluctuations in the fiber opti
c link. The proposed processing technique eliminates the parasitic inf
luence of external temperature variations on the output signal and avo
ids the strong requirements on the stability of LD output spectral cha
racteristics. The method doesn't need single-mode optical fibers.
