Abstract
The polysaccharide capsule is a virulence factor in the opportunistic yeast pathogen, Cryptococcus neoformans. We describe a collection of s trains which were isolated or constructed to exhibit defined capsular phenotypes. The collection includes strains with wild-type, acapsular and hypercapsular traits.
