Abstract
We report a case of an elective laparoscopic transperitoneal removal o f a large renal cyst by dividing the colonic mesentery without mobiliz ing the colon to gain access to the kidney. This appears to be a safe and potentially less costly approach compared to the standard flank ap proach of these simple renal cysts.
