Abstract
The collective vibrational states of the Pb-208 have been mixed with t he neutron hole states of the Pb-208 within the framework of the hole- core coupling model scheme to obtain the spectroscopic factors of the 1h9/2 and 1i13/2 neutron hole states of the Pb-207. The theoretical re sults obtained in the present research work have been compared with th e recent experimental results based on the Pb-208(d, t)Pb-207 reaction . This core-polarisation effect has been found to have a strong influe nce on the above two discrete high-spin neutron hole orbitals of the P b-207.
